How to add an accordion

Step 1: In the page you wish to add an Accordion, open the EE Builder.

Step 2: Click the '+' icon to add a new module.

Step 3: Select 'Accordion' from the module list.

Step 4: Drag and drop the 'Accordion' module into your desired page layout position.


Use the Accordion module to organise detailed content, keeping it tidy and easily accessible without cluttering your page. It's perfect for:

  • FAQs
  • Q&A sections
  • Product or service feature lists

Content Source

Select the source of your content using the Content Source option. You have two choices:

  • Posts: Display existing posts
  • Custom Content: Create and display unique content


Post

The Post content source option enables automatic population of the Accordion module with:

• Pages

• Posts

• Custom post types


Post Type

Select the type of content to display in the Post module. Options include:

• Pages

• Posts

• Custom post types


Posts Per Page

Set the number of accordion items to display (default is 5). Each item represents one page, post, or custom post type.


Order

Select the display order of your accordion items:

• Descending (newest first).

• Ascending (oldest first).


Order By

Arrange your accordion items by:

• Author

• Comment count

• Date

• Date last modified

• ID

• Menu order

• Meta value (alphabetic or numeric)

• Random

• Title

• Selection order


Filter By

The Filter section allows you to include or exclude a set of posts, pages or custom post types by title, and taxonomy.


Custom Content


The Custom Content source option allows you to add your own content or populate the accordion item with content from a saved row, column, module, or template.


When you add an Accordion module, a blank item is automatically created. To customise this item:


Click the 'Edit Item' link:


Label

Give your accordion item a name.


This label will:

• Identify the item in the Accordion module settings

• Appear on the frontend as the accordion item title


The Content Type option offers five choices: Saved Row, Saved Column, Saved Module, Saved Template, and Custom Content. When you select any of the Saved content options, a convenient dropdown menu automatically appears, listing all your previously saved rows, columns, modules, or templates for easy selection and reuse.



To save and publish a module in the EE Builder

Click 'Save', then 'Done', then 'Publish'.
