How to create a custom header or footer

Custom headers and footers can be created giving you the option to show them either throughout the entire event website or just in certain sections.


  1. In the main Admin bar (in your main Dashboard) go to: Admin panel > Builder > Themer layouts


  1. Click 'Add New Themer Layout' at the top of the Themer layouts page.


3. You'll be creating a new Themer layout, so please follow these steps:


1. Enter a title for your layout, eg. 'My custom header'.

2. In the 'Type' field, select 'Themer layout' from the dropdown options.

3. In the 'Layout' field, choose 'Header' as the layout type.

4. Click the 'Add Themer layout' button.

  1. On completing these steps the 'Edit Themer Layout' screen will open automatically, allowing you to customise your new layout.

Edit the Themer layout


  1. Configure layout settings on the Edit Themer layout screen as shown, or follow the detailed procedure below.

6.1. Verify that the 'Type' field is set to 'Header'. This ensures that the layout is specifically designed for headers.


6.2. 'Sticky' option to be set to 'No'. This means that the header will scroll out of sight as the user moves down the page.


6.3. 'Overlay' option to be set to 'No'. This ensures that the header doesn't overlap with the page content.


6.4. 'Location' setting: Choose where in the site the header should be displayed


6.5. Click 'Publish'.


  1. Design the header! To do this, click: 'Launch EE Builder'.
